This page has important information to help us help you. We all know that time is money and the better prepared you are in the event of needed IT service, the less it will cost you and the faster your business will be up and running.

  1. Gather all of your user names and passwords and secure them in one place. This includes any cloud based services, wireless routers, computers, email accounts etc. Passwords should be kept in a secure location.
  1. All installation software, and download links for installations should be in one place and readily available. Lost software, installation keys, and unknown passwords are the number 1 cause in delayed and lengthy support calls
  1. All of your computer and network related vendor accounts numbers, contact numbers should be readily available if needed by your support technician
  1. Gather all of your hardware, spare keyboards, mice, cables, etc. and have them in place readily available
  1. Finally, throw away, or donate all of your old hardware and software you no longer use. We see many businesses hanging on to old equipment thinking they might use it some day, or even broken hardware, thinking it might fix its self. These things take up space and cause confusion when the need comes to re-install or trouble shoot problems

For faster service, you can send all of your computer and network documentation to Big Village IT and we will transfer it to our secured server so our technicians can service you quicker.  There will a fixed fee of $35.00 to transfer your information to our system. Additional documentation will be added as needed by your Technician at the time of service to keep your documentation current.  Remember, no having the above information causes delays and increased cost for your service. If you do not have this information listed above, tell us at the time of your service request and we will do our best to resolve your issues as quickly as possible or offer another solution.
